Show (Don't Tell) Me You Love Me
"Show don't tell" is a common phrase bandied about at writers conferences, but what does it really mean? What's the difference between writing for a reader and at a reader? How can a writer keep prose, description, and dialogue strong? And, when is tell not only appropriate, but the best option?
In this class, senior developmental Editor Elena Hartwell Taylor analyzes the differences between show and tell and why it makes writing more active and engaging.
